B has been asking about this party for a good six months – he was very excited about turning five and I love how a kid’s imagination knows no bounds. He wanted a surprise party with very specific thoughts about how the day would play out (I would tell him we were having a party he wouldn’t like with princesses and tea, his friends would forget to wish him a happy birthday, and then we would all end up at Lego Land. Ha.) Somewhere along the line he said no to the surprise and instead wanted a Star Wars Angry Birds party…so this party was loosely themed on that. At the end of the party Baker said, “Mom this party was way more fun than I thought it would be”. Thanks?
Make your own pool noodle “lightsaber”
I made these paper lanterns – reminiscent of Angry Birds, kind of maybe?
Tousled hair from many slide runs, sprinkle cake per B’s request with imaginary flames because candles are impossible to light at the beach.
The party was in the morning so we packaged up pairs of cupcakes to take home and eat after lunch…unless you are Evie : )

I have not checked in here for a while since I thought it was getting boring, but the last few posts are great quality so I guess Iˇ¦ll add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend
