We are starting a little update on the kids’ bedroom. We moved the crib out and moved in matching twin beds like in photo #3 (except the cheaper Target version that I got on clearance). I’m going to keep the same feel it currently has, but have to get new bedding and maybe some new art. Of note in these inspiration photos:
- Gold stars on the ceiling
- Large format monochrome photograph
- Mismatched bedding
I’m really excited about the matching twin beds – that’s just something I’ve always loved and it will be so nice when we have house guests. First order of business is rearranging the room to fit two twins and finding affordable new bedding – I consistently pick out the most expensive option available, which is not actually an option at all. Onward.
Hey, I found your blog ages ago and used to read it and then life took over and blog reading dwindled off. Thought of it tonight and found it again! Congratulations on the new member of the family, even if she is no longer new!!
Anyway, love the look of the twin bedroom. That’s exactly how we themed our girl/boy room too. By keeping the walls neutral and using colour to define the space, it really worked and the kids loved it….to the point that we are only finally giving them their own rooms now, 9 years later!!
